Science Teacher

Merrily has been teaching kids since working at summer camps during her college days. She finished her education degree at Arizona State University and began her teaching career as a Junior High Science Teacher in Phoenix, Arizona. She moved to Irvine, California in 1986 and taught for 4 more years as a Junior High Science Teacher. During her time in California she became an advanced diver, and more importantly a follower of Jesus! She and fiancé John were baptized in the ocean and attended Chuck Smith’s church in Costa Mesa. After Marrying John she moved to his family’s cattle ranch in Northern Nevada and enjoyed 22+ years of living and working there raising and homeschooling their 5 children. Merrily and John now live in Bellevue Idaho. They are caretakers for a property there and John is water master for the Bellevue Irrigation District. Merrily also teaches piano, and plays for their Calvary Bible Church home they have been attending for 17+ years. Merrily loves the Lord, loves kids and loves teaching about God through science and His amazing creation. Teaching at the new Eagle Christian Academy is like coming full circle to where God has planned for her to be.
